Examination Schedule & Information
After taking prerequisite courses, a one-year period is allowed to complete the exam for an Erosion and Sediment Control certificate of competence in the following categories:
- Combined Administrators ($100 Fee)
- Inspectors ($75 Fee)
- Plan Reviewers ($75 Fee)
- Program Administrators ($75 Fee)
The most recent (fall) examinations were held on November 14, 2013. You will be notified of your results within 60 days. The status and arrangements for the next examination are not yet available; please be sure to check back in April 2014.

DEQ Classroom Training
If you completed the prerequisite courses after July 1, 2013, and want to enroll in an examination for one of the above certificates, please visit the DEQ Knowledge Center (KC). Before you can enroll in any course or exam, however; you must first enroll in the Knowledge Center.
Once we have verified you are eligible to sit for the examination, you will be contacted by a DEQ staff member to obtain payment/billing information and complete the enrollment process. Please use this link: verification of work experience if you need to demonstrate 800 hours.
