The Elements of Virginia's Solid Waste Program document was prepared as an overview of how the solid waste program and planning currently proceed under Virginia statutes and regulations. It was prepared in response to a request from the Virginia Waste Management Board for a planning document on solid waste management in Virginia. This document was public noticed and was finalized on August 30, 2005.
