The Guidance document #00-2011 is available as an executable which includes the software for preparing VPDES permit limits. This is an update and replacement for guidance document #93-015 - guidance on preparing VPDES permit based on the water quality standards for toxics. The executable file contains the protocols and software that DEQ uses to establish numerical permit limits for toxic materials and other selected guidance. Furthermore, it also contains the software for evaluating mixing zone concerns and the software used to analyze the statistical properties of effluent data.

The components of the guidance executable are as follows:

• Guidance on preparing VPDES permit limits-document #2011, in PDF format
• Two folders (WLA and MIX) contain the setup programs for the software that is distributed with the guidance. Details about the software program are included within the guidance pdf document.

Instructions are: download the guidance executable file to a temporary directory and then run it. It will extract the guidance pdf document and two setup folders for the software. Open the setup folders (WLA and MIX) that are created and run the SETUP.EXE files in each.
