**Chincoteague Town Dock: This busy boat ramp is a good place to land in an emergency, but is not recommended for recreational paddling.  There is heavy recreational boat and commercial fishing activity and strong currents.

**Memorial Park Boat Ramp: This boat ramp is heavily used by powerboats and jet skis, and should be used only by advanced paddlers or as an emergency landing site.  Memorial Park offers good access to Toms Cove and Assateague Channel however routes are not suggested on this website.
