Wayne is a licensed class 1 wastewater treatment operator with extensive experience in both wastewater treatment plant operations and laboratory operations. Prior to employment with the Department, Wayne was superintendent of a major municipal treatment facility. Since employment with the Department, Wayne has been instrumental in the development and operation of the Department's wastewater laboratory inspection program. He has also participated in numerous assistance and training programs (both on-site and classroom) and has been active in the development of “need to know” based training materials.

Jason is a licensed class 1 wastewater treatment plant operator with 18 years experience in various aspects of wastewater treatment operations and maintenance. He has managed and operated several wastewater treatment systems. Jason joined DEQ in 2004 and has been providing training and assistance to wastewater treatment facilities for nutrient removal operations and troubleshooting. He also conducts numerous assistance and training programs (both on-site and classroom, annually, throughout Virginia) and has been instrumental in the development of “need to know” based training materials.
